Katherine Hawkins

Katherine (“Katie”) Hawkins is a dedicated immigration attorney based in North Texas, with a strong commitment to serving diverse communities. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Hawkins worked as an elementary school teacher in South Louisiana, where she taught third and fourth graders.
Ms. Hawkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, which she utilizes to provide trauma-informed legal care. Her journey into law was inspired by witnessing a grandmother’s determined fight to protect her grandchildren and access the justice system. This experience fueled her passion to bridge the gap between the broader community and the legal world.
During her time at Texas A&M University School of Law, Ms. Hawkins actively participated in the legal clinic, where she served marginalized communities across family law, civil law, and immigration law. Following graduation, she gained experience in various legal fields before dedicating herself exclusively to immigration law in March 2019.
Ms. Hawkins specializes in Family-based Immigration, U-Visas, VAWAs, Naturalization, and Appeals. She approaches each case with the enthusiasm and dedication her clients deserve, working closely with individuals from all backgrounds to navigate the complexities of immigration law. As an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Immigration Section of the State Bar of Texas, she remains deeply involved in the legal community’s efforts to fight for the rights of immigrants in the United States. Passionate about learning from her clients’ various cultural backgrounds and giving back to the community, Ms. Hawkins is eager to continue making a positive impact in the DFW area.
