You may be searching for a doctor to treat you for your Workers’ Comp claim. You really need to know if you are in a network or non-network situation. If you’re in a non-network you’re pretty much able to treat with any doctor that’s in the Work Comp system that accepts Workers’ Comp.
In order to change doctors you need to fill out a DWC form to change doctors. The form number is DWC form 53. You and your doctor would fill this form out together. You would need to put a reason why you are switching doctors from your previous provider to your new provider and again this only has to do with non-network claims. When you go looking for a provider make sure you check with them and understand if they accept Workers’ Comp.
