Alright, we’ve all been stuck at home and sheltering in place since this whole COVID-19 pandemic started back in the Spring, it’s now almost the fall. I just wanted to let everybody know that even though a lot of the world seems to have shut down Immigration, the agency, USCIS is still working. It’s true that they haven’t been giving interviews for citizenship or adjustment of status or any of those things but they are still processing cases behind the scenes. And in some cases this has actually led to them speeding up the timeframe for processing things like work permits. Which is great, because all the officers who would normally be doing interviews can’t do those they have joined in the processing and that has really helped wait times in certain cases.
So, I just think if you have a case it’s a smart time to get it together and get it filed and get in line because when they do open up fully they are going to pick back up where they left off when they closed on March the 18th. There will be delays so why not get your case in that line already before the world opens up and people finally realize hey, we can leave our houses and go file for our immigration benefits. So that’s one word to the wise, Get Started.
Thank you very much for your time today and please call to make an appointment and we’ll see what we can do for you.
