Firm Sponsors Hydration Station at Annual Celebration in Weatherford
In mid-July, employees of Bailey & Galyen set up a hydration station at the 39th annual Parker County Peach Festival in historic downtown Weatherford. More than 50,000 peach lovers attended, enjoying more than 200 food, activity, art, and crafts booths, as well as two stages featuring live entertainment. The family-friendly festival also included the Peach Pedal Bike Ride, a domino tournament, and what was billed as “the world’s largest peach cobbler.”
With temperatures hovering in the 90s most of the day, attendees needed ready access to water. Bailey & Galyen provided a free water bottle to every person who came to the festival, helping keep everyone safe. B&G employees also took the opportunity to engage with the local community, passing out plenty of merch and helping folks learn more about how Bailey & Galyen can help them.
Officially recognized by the Texas Legislature as the Peach Capital of Texas, Weatherford is known for having some of the sweetest and juiciest peaches anywhere in the country. The Peach Festival offers Parker County natives the opportunity to showcase their signature fruit. Among the treats you’ll find every year at the Parker County Peach Festival are peach pie, peach ice cream, peach smoothies, peach lemonade, peach tea, peach barbeque sauce, and even peach juleps! There’s an annual food competition with a number of categories, including cakes and cupcakes, jams and jellies, cobblers and pies, pickles, and even salsa. If you’re lucky, one of the local microbreweries may be there with a peach-themed adult beverage.
